New in 2023-24, at least one parent of a swim family must complete the USA Swimming Safe Sport “Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sports” training.  This is required by USA Swimming in order for the Norfolk YMCA Aquajet Swim Team to maintain our Safe Sport Recognition and be a member of USA Swimming.

Any child of a family who has not completed this course will NOT be able to register for ANY swim meets until the certificate of completion is emailed to Kent Olberding (Safe Sport Coordinator).   Please email your certificate to kento14@hotmail.com.

Directions to complete                                                                                                                                             - Parent who registers the child with USA Swimming should log into their USA Swimming account via USA Swimming link                                                                                                                             - Click on the EDUCATION tab – - -  Course Catalog   - – - Parents/Volunteers – - – Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sports                                                                                                                               - The course is 30 minutes in length and can be stopped and resumed if needed                         - Download/screenshot certificate and email to kento14@hotmail.com
